Second Annual “Miracle Jeans Day” Scheduled to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network

SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 4, 2009) — Mark your calendars! Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 is “Miracle Jeans Day, ” an annual fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals.

Credit Unions, RE/MAX and Delta Air Lines have already committed to participate in “Miracle Jeans Day,” which raised approximately $500,000 for children’s hospitals during the first event in 2009. More than 134,000 employees at more than 1,600 company locations and organizations across North America participated in the one-day event in 2009 to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

“Our first ‘Miracle Jeans Day’ proved that communities are committed to helping their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital and will give as much as possible when provided with the opportunity,” said Brian Hazelgren, chief development officer, Children’s Miracle Network. “We’re confident that 2010 will bring even greater commitment. These ‘low-dollar, high-volume’ campaigns have been the basis for our raising $3.8 billion for pediatric hospitals over the past 26 years.”

This year, individuals, companies, organizations and groups can participate in Miracle Jeans Day  for a minimum of a $5 donation, earning the right to wear jeans in lieu of traditional work uniform.  For more information on participating in Miracle Jeans Day visit www.MiracleJeansDay.com or www.ChildrensMiracleNetwork.org.
