Get ready for the Chile Pepper Challenge Charity Ride & 5K Walk/Run a fun and meaningful event raising funds for life-saving cardiac care at UMC El Paso. Whether you’re cycling through the scenic Mesilla Valley or walking with your family in the new 5K, your participation supports early screenings, advanced treatments, and education to fight heart disease and stroke in our community.
Join us for the Chile Pepper Challenge, a high-energy charity ride and new 5K walk/run dedicated to raising funds for life-saving cardiac care at University Medical Center of El Paso.
This annual event, hosted by The El Paso Bicycle Club and the UMC Foundation, supports the Cardiac Care Fund—helping our hospital provide early screenings, cutting-edge treatments, and community education to fight heart disease and stroke, the leading causes of death in our region.
Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. suffers a heart attack or stroke. Your participation helps change that, especially here in El Paso, where Hispanic communities are at greater risk.
