The symposium highlights the research and scholarly achievements of UMC Nursing collaboration with essential health care team members. These collaborative abstracts represent a model for integrating teaching, original research, and the beneficial effects of peer review in promoting intellectual development and professional growth for the nursing profession.*

The symposium provides UMC El Paso with the opportunity to gain a greater appreciation of the individual and collective accomplishments of our nurses and their work for improving patient safety and quality initiatives, as well as to applaud those achievements.
