On September 26, 2026, runners, walkers, families and supporters gathered at UMC Northeast Clinic for the ¡Salud! to Better Health 5K Run/Walk & Kids Dash. Hosted by the University Medical Center of El Paso and the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso, the event brought the community together around a shared goal: supporting local patients and families facing cancer.
The race benefited UMC's Sobreviviendo el Cáncer program, which provides direct patient assistance, support groups and other supportive services. For patients navigating a diagnosis and treatment, that support can make a meaningful difference close to home.
From the race course to the Kids Dash, participants of all ages showed up for the cause. UMC Foundation thanks every runner, walker, volunteer and community member who helped make the day possible. The celebration continued after the race with an after-party at The Shack.
