Volunteer Congress

Funds raised by the Foundation’s Volunteer Corps will be awarded to departments within UMC  at a biennial Volunteer Congress. UMC department  leadership is invited to submit a grant application ranging between $5,000 and $10,000 to fund equipment, supplies, or resources that will improve the department’s efficiency, and the quality of care provided to patients. This event is a unique opportunity for Foundation volunteers to review grant applications and hear brief presentations from department leaders at UMC. Following the presentations, volunteers ask questions, discuss, vote, and determine which applications will be will be awarded a grant, and the amount of the award.
