Project C.A.R.E. (Community Access to Rehabilitation Equipment) collects new and gently used medical equipment - such as wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, and hospital beds - and provides them free of charge to uninsured and financially challenged patients at UMC and El Paso Children’s Hospital.

Through in-kind donations from the community, the Foundation ensures patients have access to essential equipment needed for recovery or long-term care at home. Equipment is distributed based on need, as determined by a UMC social worker referral.

This program helps patients and families safely transition from hospital to home, supporting both short- and long-term care needs.
